COVID-19 Hit Finland and the implications were immeasurable, naturally, the industries who relied on people attending their premises were impacted heavily, Buugi a SportsCenter in jyväskylä not only faced the issues with their premise being forced to cease their operations they were also risking to lose customers long term.
We helped Buugi acquire a grant to both cover their own expenditures as well as to develop a mobile app that keeps Buugi connected with their customers as well as helps Buugi keep the youth of Jyväskylä healthy.
What we did
Applied for Grants, developed a mobile application as well as a webplatform
- Acquired a Grant for Buugi to cover the app development as well as help cover losses caused by Covid19
- Designed and Developed a mobile app that encourages children to continue exercise in nature by turning the outdoors into a treasure hunt.
- Designed and developed a platform that helps Buugi to remain in contact with their customers through social media
Turning outdoors into an Adventure
The Challenge
Running a SportsCenter amidst a pandemic is by no means an easy affair, the number one goal of our collaboration with Buugi was to help ease the financial burden suddenly thrust upon them, we at Sterly had our financial consultants working together with our software and business development team to identify technical solutions that would be applicable to Grants, be able to help Buugi maintain their customer base as well as be possible to be developed within Budget and time.
From Concept to App
Our first step of this project was to align our goals with the needs of Buugi, together we defined the following goals:
- Create digital connections for Buugi with their customers.
- Help the youth of Jyväskylä remain active by encouraging exercise in nature.
- Encourage customers to return to Buugi once the restrictions lessen.
